Yachtie shows where and when your friends checked in, the direction they were heading (COG) and how far away from you they are. Perfect for arranging a rendezvous, or for giving relatives a little peace of mind. Especially as they'll have your last reported position to hand in an emergency.

Yachtie lets you track the checkins of fellow Yachtie users around your current position and gives you important safety information such as their Course Over Ground (COG), Boat Name, Call Sign and MMSI for VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC).

Yachtie lets you search and bookmark your Yachtie friends, so it's easy to keep track of your favourite Yachties. And by setting an optional privacy group, you can even make sure its only your friends who can see your location.

You can log each trip you make, complete with trip notes, distance travelled and even a route map which you can save to your Photo Library - perfect for emailing, texting or sharing on Facebook - or even for that post-race tack analysis.

Warning: Yachtie is designed as a fun social tool, and is only as accurate as the information it gets from other Yachtie users. It does not (and cannot) guarantee the information is complete or accurate, and not all boats around you will be Yachtie users.

Yachtie must therefore not be used for navigation or as a replacement for AIS, official safety aids or common sense. If it proves useful in a safety situation, that's a bonus...
